Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. Although email has been a great way to stay in touch, there is still something very special about receiving a holiday card in the mail.

A few years ago I began what became a tradition for my aunt and uncle who raised, bred and showed Old English Sheepdogs (OES). I used to draw on my book covers in school (doesn't everyone?). One of my favorite things to draw was the face of an Old English. My aunt and uncle always encouraged me. So, while I was working on my BFA in art school my aunt approached me about designing a Christmas card for them. Well, that began a tradition. They premiered a new OES Christmas card every year, sending them to their family and friends in the dog world. Then, they sold that card design the following year.
