(Below are various samples that Lori and Ed looked at - keep in mind that they will look different on every computer monitor!)

Internet Notes to Lori & Ed:
Here is the art in some color (and paper samples).  They did not scan as well.  I hope this helps you! Well, here's the artwork near completion.  I hope you like it!

1. Burgundy Art

The bride and groom actually saw the artwork much larger than this, but it helps to visualize the black and white pencil illustrations as color art on tinted paper.

2. Dark Green Art

3. Camel Hair Paper (more gold) -
wine/sienna ink

4. Mohawk Paper (less gold/more beige) - wine burgundy ink

5. Neenah Alpaca Paper Sample -
this paper actually has a rose color cast to it and burgundy/wine threads and specs.

6. Green ink and paper sample - This is the green ink I would recommend (if you like the art in green better than wine).  The paper looks more lime than the actual color.

Lori ended up selecting a parchtone paper. She wanted an aged look and liked the warm tone. It worked to her advantage, it is easy to get and easy on the budget!

As conversations progress during the design phase, the biggest issue always seems to be the paper and ink colors.  In fact, it is sometimes very hard to tell how the artwork will look in another color, everyone is used to seeing it in black. The computer really helps!

I have many paper samples and resources to help the client select what they are searching for in the price range they need to stay within budget. Many paper mills limit what they stock, and this at times can be very frustrating.
